Appalachia Camping Company is founded on three core principles:
1. Nature is Medicine– You don’t need stuffy scientific studies (although there are plenty) to know that being outdoors improves your mental and physical well-being. Getting outdoors just makes you feel good. That’s important! Besides, it’s cheaper than therapy.
2. Giving is good business– A small act of kindness can cause a ripple effect of good. We believe in helping to provide a quality of life for all animals and to give a voice to animals who cannot advocate or care for themselves. Each month, 6% of proceeds go to these organizations.
3. Dogs are Family – When your dog looks at you as you walk out the door, do you know what he’s thinking? “Take me with you!” We don’t only allow dogs to camp with you, we want your dog to join you! Experiencing the outdoors with your dog strengthens your bond and improves your dog’s physical and mental health. In turn, you are helping to give other dogs that same opportunity by “ruffing it” with us. And because dogs are family, we don’t charge a pet fee!
